English Week Wrap Up

The English Week is already over. We celebrated the 11th edition. It's unbelievable! We enjoyed it a lot as we always do. Have a look at the photos below. They will remind you how much fun we had during the festivals.

Alphabet Food

English Week Games

After some months working on the games, we got the chance to put them into practice on the last day of the term. It was a perfect sunny afternoon. Little children were very excited to play games in English and so were 5th graders. It was for sure an enjoyable afternoon for all! 

Radio Lloret

On Tuesday, some children went to Radio Lloret to talk about the English Week. Arnau, Roger, Claudia, Juliet, Yaiza, Carla, Oskar, Mª Carmen and Sol had the chance to visit the radio and learn a lot about how it works. After some advice, they sat down and answered the questions the reporter asked them. They all had so much fun! Good job kids! (you can listen to the podcast here)

This year we have celebrated the English Week's 10th anniversary. It's been a great success! Children did their best ever in the festivals! Many parents came to school to tell a story or sing a song and we really appreciate it. We would like to thank all parents and teachers for their unconditional support throughout these 10 years. Passion For Fashion

We had sooo much fun today at school. We watched an English play at our school's main hall. It is called "Passion For Fashion". We really enjoyed it from the very beginning. Check out the photos below!

English Games by 5th grade

Children in 5th grade started working on their English Week Games Project this week. They thought about a game for 1st and 2nd graders and designed it. During the English Week they'll become teachers and will play the game with young children. Check the photos below. Enjoy!

After listening and reading about the story of the robot teacher Saya, a debate came up in class. Would you like to have a robot as a teacher?

Working on Recipes

We are learning how to write simple recipes in 5th grade. After practicing a shopping dialogue in class, we worked on autumn fruit. We learned some new words and then, children gave instructions in order to make a fruit salad.  This is the result, a healthy and yummy snack.

After giving some pictures out to 5th graders, I asked them to think and draw the background of those pictures. This is what children came out with. Nice, right?

1st Day of School

Yesterday was the very first day of school. Everyone looked very excited! Children carried their new schoolbags, new notebooks and books. Have a look at the photos below.

The Happy Prince Play

Early morning today, we went to the theatre. 4th, 5th and 6th grade were ready to watch a play called The Happy Prince by Oscar Wilde. We loved it! However, the ending was quite sad. Back at school we talked about feelings, likes and dislikes... Ask your child about it at home.

The Univers

In 3rd grade we love to learn new things. Today we learned about The Univers in English!! We had so much fun!!
