My favourite colour is...

This week we've been working on colours. We had such a great time mixing them up while singing a rhyme: Blue and yellow, blue and yellow blue and yellow make green" as well as "red and yellow, red and yellow, red and yellow make orange".

ABC's

Chicka, Chicka, BOOM, BOOM! Has your child been shouting these words throughout your home this week? Don’t worry… the kids aren’t learning a secret language. This week they worked very hard to learn the alphabet with this fun book, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. Many of you may remember the “Alphabet” song from your childhood! Sing it at home with your kid and do some spelling . There's also an alphabet song in the songs CD. Sit back and enjoy watching Chicka Chicka Boom Boom with your child!

Here We Go Again!

We have had an exciting start to this school year. It is our hope that this blog helps you stay up to date with the happenings in our English classroom. Please keep in mind that this blog will give you a brief overview of what your child is learning. We cover so much in a week that it would take hours and pages upon pages to recap everything. Your best source of information is your child. Please talk to your child daily about what he/she is learning about in class. Showing interest in your child’s learning is a vital part of his/her success! Happy new school year!
